Granite Rapids Moon Film Screening

5:15 pm
Guild Cinema- Albuquerque

Join Us for a Special Screening of Granite Rapids Moon followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the New Mexico Wilderness Alliance.

About the Film

Granite Rapids Moon is the first narrative feature film ever shot primarily inside the Grand Canyon, created under the oversight of the National Park Service using only the equipment that the cast and crew could carry through 82 miles of rugged canyon terrain. In true “leave no trace” spirit, the filmmakers crafted a story while treading lightly on one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in the world.

The film follows a happily married father of two who, shaken by a message written in his daughter’s birthday card, sets out on a week-long solo trek through the Grand Canyon. The result is a breathtaking, family-friendly story about reflection, resilience, and rediscovering purpose in wild places.
